IAQ Project
OPIX Systems was hired based on a reputation built in Region 4 for quality work performance, value and flexibility in meeting both client and tenant schedules and expectations for this Design-Build project.
The purpose of the project was to improve conditions to meet ASHRAE 62.1 or improve air filtration with the building.
- Replaced (79) existing DDC LonWorks VAV controllers
- Provided (149) Distech LonWorks VAV Controllers and converted existing pneumatic VAV’s to DDC
- Included communication bus and new sensor cabling and sensors for space and discharge air
- Replaced pneumatic control components for zone dampers with new DDC Actuators
- Convert existing pneumatic transducer/actuators on all OA dampers (Exhaust Air, Return
- Air, Min OA, and Economizer) to new BELIMO DDC actuators
- Relocated (13) existing AHU controllers to new enclosure with local LCD interface for local override capability
- Recommissioned (1) existing AHU controller and update BAS graphics accordingly
- Upgrade (1) multi-zone AHU from pneumatic to DDC actuators
- Provide, configure, and install (27) interface controllers
- Provided UL1449 surge protection for each primary system controller
- Install sensors and DDC controllers for temperature monitoring and facilities to provide for future DDC control of the valves for (422) induction unit groups
- 422 Induction Unit Groups
- Provide and install OA measurement weather station to serve in regard to plant and AHU operation
- BAS integration of all new digital devices
